Enameled Moth Brooch by Adie and Lovekin 1910
Stunning and rare Arts & Crafts - Art Nouveau silver and enamel Egyptian revival moth brooch. Maker's mark AL-Ld. (Adie and Lovekin) and hallmark for Birmingham 1910. The enameling is vivid and bright. An identical design was also produced at this time by Charles Horner and is illustrated in the Horner book. Condition: Good. Pin to back has tarnishing but works well. I think that there may have been some re-enamelling to small areas on both left and right wings as it feels slightly irregular only noticeable on close inspection. Approx. width 1.75 inches (45mm).
